- The most common reason to look elsewhere is country access. Stake.com excludes the US, left Great Britain in March 2025 and restricts a long list of other markets. Alternatives restrict different ones, so check every list yourself.
- Stake.us is not a crypto casino. It is a US sweepstakes site, and by October 2026 at least eight states, including California, New York and New Jersey, had banned that model, with Oklahoma next from 1 November 2026.
- Pick an alternative by playing style: market depth for bettors, provably fair originals for dice and crash players, limits and VIP terms for high rollers.
- Compare rewards by what is returned, how often and with what wagering. Small instant rakeback often beats a large headline bonus.
- Never use a VPN to reach a casino that excludes your country. It breaks the terms everywhere and is a common reason winnings are withheld.
Why players look for Stake alternatives
Availability is the biggest reason. Stake.com does not accept players from the United States or from a long list of other countries, and in March 2025 its British white-label site was closed after action by the UK Gambling Commission. If you live somewhere Stake does not serve, you need a casino that does, or a locally licensed operator.
Availability is not the only reason, though. Players who can use Stake still compare alternatives because they want:
- A different reward structure, such as flat rakeback instead of a VIP ladder that only pays well at high volume.
- A bigger or different game library, including providers or game types Stake does not carry.
- A coin or network Stake does not support for withdrawals, or a casino built around one chain such as Solana or TON.
- A second sportsbook to compare odds before placing a bet, which is how most serious bettors work anyway.
- A lighter verification process, or simply a smaller site with more responsive support.
Whatever your reason, the first check is the same: confirm the alternative accepts players from your country before you sign up. Getting around a restriction with a VPN breaks the terms at Stake and at every alternative listed here, and casinos routinely void winnings when they spot it.
What Stake actually offers
If you are replacing Stake, it helps to know which parts of it you use. Stake.com is run by Medium Rare N.V. and licensed in Curaçao. Its main features are:
- Original games such as dice, crash, plinko, mines and limbo, with provably fair verification and low published house edges.
- A full sportsbook alongside the casino, including live betting and esports, under one balance.
- Volume-based rewards through a VIP system with rakeback, reloads and level-up bonuses, rather than reliance on one large welcome offer.
- Wide crypto support, including BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL, BNB, XRP, LTC and DOGE, with fast settlement on most networks.
- High-profile sponsorships and streaming, which shape many of its promotions.
Most players care about two or three of these at most. A sports bettor who never opens the originals needs a different alternative from a dice player who never places a sports bet. Write down the features you actually use before you compare.
Stake has also launched separate, locally licensed sites in some regulated markets: Stake.it in Italy from 2025, and until recently a .bet.br site in Brazil. Brazil then banned fixed-odds betting and online casino games outright, including offers from operators based abroad, under Provisional Measure 1,394 of 25 September 2026, and licensed sites had to go offline from 6 October 2026 (see the country notes below). Local sites like these follow local rules, including full identity checks and local restrictions, and are not the same product as Stake.com. If you see a local Stake domain, read its terms as you would any new operator.
Stake.com and Stake.us are different sites
Stake.com is the international crypto casino and sportsbook. Stake.us is a separate sweepstakes site for the United States. On Stake.us you play with Gold Coins, which have no cash value, and Stake Cash, which is given away with Gold Coin purchases or through free methods and can be redeemed for prizes once played through. You do not deposit crypto to gamble directly as you would on Stake.com.
The sweepstakes model has come under heavy pressure. California’s AB 831 outlawed dual-currency sweepstakes casinos from 1 January 2026, and Stake.us left the state at the end of December 2025. New Jersey banned the model in August 2025 and New York in December 2025. By October 2026, legislative trackers counted statutory bans in force in at least eight states, also including Connecticut, Indiana, Maine, Montana and Tennessee, with Louisiana’s ban taking effect in August 2026 and Oklahoma’s due on 1 November 2026. Other states enforce existing gambling law against sweepstakes operators without a dedicated ban. The list keeps changing, so check Stake.us’s own help centre for the states it currently excludes.
| Stake.com | Stake.us | |
|---|---|---|
| Model | Real-money crypto casino and sportsbook | Sweepstakes casino with two virtual currencies |
| Who it serves | International players outside restricted countries | US players in states where sweepstakes are allowed |
| Payments | Crypto deposits and withdrawals | Gold Coin purchases; Stake Cash redemptions |
| US availability | Not available anywhere in the US | Excluded in a growing number of states |
If you are in the US and Stake.us is no longer available in your state, an offshore crypto casino is not a legal substitute: offshore crypto casinos, including every brand in this guide, generally exclude US players. State-licensed online casinos and sportsbooks are the legal route where your state permits them. The country section below links to our US market page.

Closest all-round match
If you use Stake for both casino and sport, look first at casinos that combine the two under one balance. BC.Game, Rainbet and Winna all pair a casino with a sportsbook. Duelbits did too, but it has been offline since late September 2026 after a reported $7 million hot-wallet hack, with no reopening date by mid-October, so it is not a current pick. BC.Game is the closest on breadth of coins; Rainbet and Winna lean on rakeback.
Closest match for originals
For players who mostly play dice, crash, mines and plinko, Shuffle, Roobet, GOATED and Thrill focus on in-house games. Chips.gg is worth a look if a transparent house edge is your priority.
Closest match for high rollers
Shuffle’s VIP ladder is built for volume, and mBit Casino is a Bitcoin-first operator that has been running since 2014. High rollers should read the withdrawal section below before choosing any of them.
Choose an alternative by playing style
Sports bettors
Prioritise market depth on the leagues you follow, live betting, competitive margins and a clear cash-out feature. Check how quickly markets are suspended and reopened during live play, and whether bet limits are published or set account by account. Our crypto sports betting guide explains what to compare, and the odds guide shows how to work out the margin a book is charging.
Originals and crash players
Look for provably fair verification you can run yourself and a published house edge for every game. Two dice games can look identical and still have different edges, and that difference compounds over thousands of bets. The crash gambling guide shows how to check a multiplier result.
High rollers
Compare maximum bet sizes, maximum win caps per bet, daily and monthly withdrawal limits, how VIP levels are earned and whether large withdrawals are reviewed by hand. Ask support in writing what happens when you withdraw a large amount, and how long the review takes.
Multi-coin players
Check which coins and networks are supported for withdrawals, not only deposits. Some casinos accept a coin on several networks but pay out on only one, which can add fees or force a swap.
Slots players
Game count matters less than which providers are available in your country and whether bonus wagering applies to the slots you play. Check the RTP guide: some providers ship the same slot at several return-to-player settings, and casinos choose which one to run.
Casual players
Low minimum deposits, simple bonus terms and good responsible-gambling tools matter more than a big VIP programme. A casino with clear deposit limits and a quick self-exclusion option is a better fit than one built around high-volume rewards.
How to switch from Stake step by step
- List the Stake features you actually use, from originals to sportsbook to specific coins.
- Shortlist two or three alternatives from the table above that cover those features.
- Open each casino’s terms and check the restricted-country list and the licence. Our licence guide shows how to verify one.
- Read the withdrawal section: minimums, maximums, fees, networks and when verification applies.
- Decide whether to take a welcome bonus. If you do, read the wagering requirement, maximum bet and game weighting first.
- Register, set a deposit limit, and make a small first deposit on a fast, cheap network.
- Play briefly, then make a small withdrawal back to your own wallet and time how long it takes.
- Only increase your deposits once that withdrawal has arrived and support has answered any questions clearly.
You deposit 50 USDT on TRON, play a few rounds and withdraw 40 USDT. The withdrawal is approved in a few minutes and arrives after network confirmation. You now know the casino pays, roughly how fast, and what the network fee was. That small test is worth more than any review, including ours.
Do not move your whole Stake balance in one go. Withdraw to your own wallet first, then deposit from there. Sending directly from one casino to another makes records harder to keep and can trigger checks at either end.
How rewards and rakeback compare
Stake rewards volume through VIP levels rather than relying on a single welcome bonus. Many alternatives copy this with rakeback, which returns a share of the house edge on every bet, plus reloads, level-up bonuses and weekly or monthly cashback. Others lead with a large deposit match instead.
These systems are hard to compare at a glance. Ask four questions:
- What percentage is returned, and of what: your stake, the house edge or your net losses?
- Is it paid instantly, daily, weekly or only at level-ups?
- Does it carry wagering requirements before you can withdraw it?
- How much do you need to bet to reach each level, and do levels reset?
You wager 10,000 USDT on a dice game with a 1% house edge. Your expected loss is 100 USDT. A casino paying 10% rakeback on the house edge returns about 10 USDT. A casino advertising “25% rakeback” on the same basis returns about 25 USDT. A 100% deposit match of 500 USDT with 40x wagering would require 40,000 USDT in bets, an expected loss of around 400 USDT at the same edge, before you could withdraw it.
The example shows why the percentage alone means little. Rakeback calculated on the house edge is small in absolute terms but usually wager-free. Cashback on net losses can be larger but only pays when you lose. A deposit match looks biggest but often costs more in required play than it returns. Our rakeback guide and bonus guide explain the maths in more detail, and the bonuses page lists current offers.
| Reward type | How it is usually calculated | Main catch |
|---|---|---|
| Rakeback | A share of the house edge on every bet | Small per bet; real value depends on volume |
| Cashback | A share of net losses over a period | Pays nothing in a winning week |
| Deposit match | A percentage of your deposit, credited as bonus funds | Wagering, maximum bet and game restrictions |
| VIP level-up bonus | A one-off payment when you reach a new tier | Requires large wagering volume |
| Token rewards | Payouts in the casino’s own token | Token price can fall; liquidity may be thin |
Coins, networks and fees
Most Stake alternatives accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and Litecoin, and many add Solana, TRON, Dogecoin, BNB and XRP. The coin matters less than the network. USDT, for example, exists on Ethereum, TRON, Solana and other chains, and the fee and speed differ a lot between them.
| Network | Typical speed | Typical fee level | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | Ten minutes to an hour | Low to high, depending on congestion | Most widely accepted; casinos may wait for several confirmations |
| Ethereum | Minutes | Moderate to high at busy times | Widest ERC-20 token support |
| TRON (TRC-20) | Under a few minutes | Usually low | Popular for USDT deposits and withdrawals |
| Solana | Seconds | Very low | Used by Solana-native casinos such as Solpump |
| Litecoin | A few minutes | Low | A cheap way to move value if your exchange supports it |
Always send on the exact network the cashier shows. Sending USDT on the wrong chain is one of the most common ways players lose deposits, and casinos are not obliged to recover them. Our USDT casino guide and deposits and withdrawals guide cover this step by step.
Withdrawal limits and verification
Withdrawal limits vary more than any other feature. Some casinos pay most withdrawals automatically, others review large ones by hand, and many cap what unverified accounts can take out. Stake itself can ask for identity documents, and so can every alternative here. Under their licences, operators must carry out customer due diligence when activity crosses risk thresholds, so “no KYC” is never absolute.
Before you choose, find answers to these questions in the terms or from support:
- What is the minimum and maximum single withdrawal?
- Are there daily, weekly or monthly limits, and do they rise with VIP level?
- At what point does the casino ask for ID or proof of funds?
- Is there a maximum win per bet or per bonus?
- Are withdrawals processed automatically or reviewed by staff?
If you play for high stakes, these limits matter more than the welcome bonus. Our instant withdrawal guide explains what affects payout speed, and our no-KYC guide explains when verification is triggered.
Licences behind Stake and its rivals
Stake.com and most of its alternatives hold offshore licences, usually from Curaçao, with a growing number licensed in Anjouan. Curaçao replaced its old master-licence and sublicence system with the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK), which took effect in December 2024. Operators now apply directly to the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA), which publishes a licence register and a separate enforcement register of licences it has revoked or not extended. Stake’s operator, Medium Rare N.V., received its own CGA licence in 2025. In September 2026, leaked CGA records reported by Dutch outlet Follow the Money showed that the licence was issued conditionally while the regulator was still asking questions about who ultimately controlled the company. The CGA has said it chose to bring companies into compliance step by step. Supplier licences become mandatory in Curaçao from 24 December 2026, with further local-substance rules due in 2027.
Anjouan, in the Comoros, has licensed a large number of crypto casinos since 2023. It is cheaper and faster to obtain than most licences, and player complaint routes are limited.
Neither licence offers the protection of a regulator such as the UK Gambling Commission or the Malta Gaming Authority. In practice, the operator’s reputation, published terms and payout history matter more than the badge in the footer. A licence you can verify is still the minimum: if you cannot find the licence holder on the regulator’s register, do not deposit.
Country availability and the law
Stake and most of its alternatives exclude players from countries with strict licensing regimes. The exact list differs between casinos, so an alternative may accept you where Stake does not, or the reverse. A few market notes:
- United States: Stake.com and offshore crypto casinos generally exclude the US. See our US page.
- United Kingdom: Online gambling requires a UK Gambling Commission licence. Stake’s British site closed in March 2025, and offshore crypto casinos are not licensed for British players. See our UK page.
- Australia: The Interactive Gambling Act prohibits offering online casino games to people in Australia, and the regulator blocks illegal offshore sites. See our Australia page.
- Canada: Rules vary by province, and Ontario runs its own regulated market. See our Canada page.
- Brazil: Provisional Measure 1,394 of 25 September 2026 banned fixed-odds betting and online casino games, including offers from operators abroad, and licensed .bet.br sites had to go offline from 6 October 2026. The measure faces Supreme Court challenges and needs a Congress vote still pending. Offshore crypto casinos are covered by the ban too, and we do not list any operator for Brazil. See our Brazil page.
Whether you may use an offshore casino depends on the law where you live, not only on whether the casino accepts you. Our coverage pages summarise what we know about each market, but they are not legal advice. In regulated markets, locally licensed operators are the legal option, even though most of them do not accept crypto.
Red flags when picking a Stake alternative
- No licence details, or a licence that does not appear on the regulator’s register.
- A copycat name or domain that imitates Stake or another well-known brand.
- Welcome bonuses far larger than the rest of the market, with terms that are hard to find.
- Marketing that encourages VPN use to get around country restrictions.
- No published withdrawal limits, or limits that change after you win.
- Withdrawals that sit in “pending” for days without a clear reason.
- Support that cannot answer basic questions about payouts or verification.
One red flag is enough to walk away. There are plenty of alternatives, and none is worth risking your balance on.
Safety checklist before you switch
- The casino shows a licence you can verify on the regulator’s own site.
- Your country is not on its restricted list.
- Withdrawal limits and verification rules are written down clearly.
- Support answers payout questions directly and in writing.
- You have tested it with a small deposit and a small withdrawal on a fast network.
- You have set a deposit limit and keep most of your crypto in your own wallet.
Gambling should stay a paid-for form of entertainment, not a way to make money. Set your limits before you start, and if switching casinos has become a way to chase losses, take a break. Our responsible gambling guide and help page list tools and support services.
