Whale.io started life in 2023 as a casino inside Telegram, built around the TON ecosystem and a community token called $WHALE. It has since left Telegram for the web, added a sportsbook and a library of around 4,000 games, and built its rewards around daily cashback rather than a normal deposit match. In 2026 the headline questions are about trust rather than features: the public Anjouan register shows its licence expiring in March 2026, its "200% welcome bonus" turns out to be a locked balance, and a new token staking product launched in June. This review explains how Whale.io works in October 2026, what its rewards are really worth, where it is available, and who should look elsewhere.

Key takeaways
  • Licence question first: Whale.io is run by Whale Operations Ltd (Seychelles) under Anjouan licence ALSI-202503012-FI1. Two independent 2026 reviews report that the Anjouan register lists that licence as expiring on 9 March 2026, and neither could confirm a renewal. We could not either.
  • No longer a Telegram casino: Whale.io announced in February 2025 that it was ending its Telegram bot and moving to its website and an Android app. Treat it as a web crypto casino, not a Telegram one.
  • The 200% bonus is not playable money: on your first deposit, 200% of the amount goes into a locked Bonus Balance that is released only as you claim cashback and weekly or monthly bonuses.
  • Rewards: daily cashback of 1% to 25% of net losses depending on level, plus weekly and monthly bonuses worked out from your wagering and the house margin. A verified account is required for cashback.
  • Payouts: reviewers in 2026 report fast crypto withdrawals with a $5 minimum and no Whale.io fee, but withdrawals of 50,000 USDT or more can be split into instalments and verification can be requested at any time.

Our verdict on Whale.io

On features alone, Whale.io is a capable crypto casino. It has a large slot and live library from well-known studios, its own provably fair originals, a sportsbook on the same balance, a $1 minimum deposit, and crypto withdrawals that several 2026 reviewers found quick. Its reward model, built on daily cashback with low wagering, is closer to the rakeback casinos we tend to prefer than to the headline deposit matches many rivals push.

The problems are about trust and clarity. The licence shown on the public Anjouan register had passed its expiry date by the time two separate reviewers checked it in September and October 2026, and we found no public record of a renewal. Anjouan is already one of the lightest offshore licences, so a lapsed or unconfirmed one leaves players with very little formal protection. The welcome offer is marketed as a 200% bonus but works nothing like one. And Trustpilot reviews from September and October 2026 include a cluster of complaints about verification holds, blocked accounts and disputed bets.

Who it is for

Whale.io suits experienced crypto players who want slots, originals and sports in one place, value cashback over a big welcome match, and are comfortable with offshore risk. Keep balances small and withdraw often. If an unresolved licence question is a deal-breaker for you, choose a brand from our crypto casino rankings with a clearer regulatory record.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Daily cashback on net losses, credited automatically, with 1x wagering on the cashback itself.
  • Large library from studios such as Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City and Evolution.
  • Provably fair Whale Originals, including Crash, Dice, Mines and Keno.
  • Low entry points: a $1 minimum deposit and a $5 minimum withdrawal.
  • No Whale.io withdrawal fee, only network fees, according to its terms as summarised by reviewers.
  • Sportsbook and casino share one crypto balance.

What to watch

  • The Anjouan register shows the licence expiring in March 2026, with no confirmed renewal.
  • The "200% welcome bonus" is a locked balance, not money you can play with.
  • Cashback requires a verified account, so it is not a true no-KYC casino.
  • Withdrawals of 50,000 USDT or more can be paid in instalments, and funds can be held on compliance grounds.
  • No deposit or loss limits, according to the operator’s responsible-gambling page as reported in October 2026.
  • Recent Trustpilot complaints about verification holds, account closures and voided bets.

Licence, ownership and the 2026 register question

Whale.io is operated by Whale Operations Ltd, a company registered in the Seychelles under number 222756. Its gambling licence was issued in Anjouan, one of the islands of the Comoros, under number ALSI-202503012-FI1. Both Bitcoin.com’s review (updated 6 October 2026) and ClearCasinos (reviewed 2 October 2026) report the same company and licence number, and CasinoRate’s July 2026 review agrees. An older review naming a Curaçao licence and a different operator appears to be out of date; Whale’s February 2025 announcement was datelined Willemstad, Curaçao, but its 2026 releases are datelined Mahé, Seychelles.

The expiry date on the register

According to Bitcoin.com, the Anjouan register lists the licence as issued on 10 March 2025 and expiring on 9 March 2026. ClearCasinos reports the same expiry date and says it will update its page when a renewal appears. Bitcoin.com adds an important caveat: every one of the 1,508 rows on the register is marked "valid", including 303 whose expiry dates have passed, so the register itself does not tell you clearly whether a licence is active. Anjouan licences are commonly described as renewed annually, so a renewal may simply not have been reflected yet. Until it is, we treat Whale.io’s licence status as unconfirmed rather than revoked.

What an Anjouan licence gives you

Even when current, an Anjouan licence offers far less protection than a strict regulator. There is no independent complaints body that reliably handles player disputes, and enforcing anything against a Seychelles company is slow and costly. Our crypto casino licence guide explains how to check a licence yourself and why the issuing authority matters. With Whale.io, as with most offshore brands, your real protection comes from how you play: small balances, quick withdrawals and two-factor authentication on your account.

From Telegram casino to web platform

Whale.io is often still described as a Telegram casino, including in our own listing data, but that is history. In a sponsored press release dated 14 February 2025, Whale said it would stop offering its product inside Telegram and focus on its website and an Android app, citing changes to Telegram’s platform terms and regulatory compliance. The same release claimed more than 15 million users, most of them on the web; that figure comes from the company and has not been independently verified.

Whale’s TON roots still show. TON and the Telegram-ecosystem token Notcoin (NOT) remain in the coin lists that reviewers published in 2026, and Bitcoin.com reports that a Telegram mini app was still being served when it checked. If what you want is a casino you play entirely inside Telegram, compare TG.Casino and Jetton, and read our Telegram casinos guide for the extra risks of bot-based gambling.

The 200% welcome bonus explained

Whale.io advertises a 200% welcome bonus, but its terms (clause 20.7, as summarised by ClearCasinos and Bitcoin.com) describe something different from a normal deposit match. On your first deposit, 200% of the deposit is credited to a locked Bonus Balance. You cannot bet with it. Instead, each time you claim daily cashback or a weekly or monthly bonus, a matching amount moves from the Bonus Balance into your withdrawable balance with no extra wagering.

In practice the 200% figure is a ceiling on how much extra the loyalty programme can pay you, not a sum you receive up front. Whether you ever release all of it depends on how much you lose and at what cashback level.

Worked example: releasing the locked balance

You deposit $100, so $200 sits in your locked Bonus Balance. You are at a level paying 5% daily cashback. Over one day you lose $100 net. Cashback is 5% × $100 = $5, and claiming it releases a matching $5 from the Bonus Balance, so you receive $10 in total for that day. To release the full $200 at 5%, you would need $200 of claimed cashback, which means $4,000 of net losses ($200 ÷ 0.05). The bonus doubles your cashback for a while, but it only pays out as you lose.

This is not necessarily worse than a deposit match with 40x wagering, which most players never clear. It is simply different from what "200% bonus" suggests. Our casino bonuses explained guide shows how to compare locked, sticky and cashable offers. Our listing data describes the offer as "Up to $30,000 over three deposits"; we found no 2026 source supporting that figure.

VIP transfer

ClearCasinos reports a VIP transfer offer of up to $222,222 in matching rewards for players moving from another casino, a figure it attributes to Whale.io. Status-match offers are usually assessed case by case, so ask support for the terms in writing before you rely on one.

Cashback, levels and weekly bonuses

Whale.io’s loyalty system is permanent: there are no seasons, resets or paid passes. ClearCasinos describes 25 levels grouped into seven ranks (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Emerald and Whale), with daily cashback rising from 1% to 25% of net losses. CasinoRate’s earlier July 2026 review described a 13-tier battle pass with lower daily rates, which suggests the scheme has changed during 2026. Check the rate for your own level on the rewards page rather than relying on any single figure.

Based on clauses 20 and 21 of Whale.io’s terms as summarised by ClearCasinos and Bitcoin.com, October 2026.
RewardHow it is calculatedConditions
Daily cashback1% to 25% of net losses, by levelVerified account; 1x wagering; claim within 30 days
Weekly bonusTotal wagered × house margin × 2%1x wagering
Monthly bonusTotal wagered × house margin × 1.5%1x wagering
Bonus Balance releaseMatches each cashback or bonus claimOnly on first-deposit Bonus Balance; no extra wagering

Cashback is based on deposits minus withdrawals, minus your closing balance, minus bets still open at the cut-off. Open bets are excluded and not recalculated later, so a large unsettled sports bet at the cut-off can lower that day’s cashback.

Worked example: weekly and monthly bonuses

You wager $20,000 on slots in a week, and the average house margin is 4%. Your expected loss is $20,000 × 0.04 = $800. The weekly bonus is $20,000 × 0.04 × 0.02 = $16, and if that week is your whole month, the monthly bonus adds $20,000 × 0.04 × 0.015 = $12. Together they return $28, or 3.5% of the expected loss. Daily cashback adds more on losing days, but none of it turns expected losses into expected profit.

Cashback on net losses is generous on paper, especially at higher levels, but it only pays when you lose, and climbing levels requires a lot of wagering. Our rakeback casinos guide explains how cashback differs from rakeback paid on every bet.

The $WHALE token and Whale Printer staking

$WHALE is Whale.io’s own token, distributed through gameplay, missions and referrals. On 3 June 2026 Whale.io announced Whale Printer, a staking feature inside the casino account. According to the press release, you can lock $WHALE for 90, 180 or 365 days with multipliers of 1.2x, 1.5x and 3x, quoted as 107.8%, 129% and 200% APY. Rewards come from a fixed pool of 20% of total supply that does not refill; when it runs out, Whale Printer closes. Early withdrawal from a staking position is not allowed, and each account can hold up to ten positions.

Treat this with care. The announcement was a sponsored press release with no audit, no risk disclosure and no information about the token’s market value, and the stated APY figures cannot be reproduced from the multipliers alone. A high APY paid in a casino’s own token is only worth what someone will pay for that token when your lock ends. Whale.io also says its Originals reach up to 99% RTP only when played with $WHALE, which ties the best game odds to holding the token. At least one Trustpilot review from October 2026 complains about unfulfilled token and airdrop promises. Do not treat $WHALE as an investment.

Games, originals and the sportsbook

Whale.io says it offers about 4,000 games from more than 40 providers; CasinoRate counted around 50 providers and quoted both 4,000 and 5,000 games in different parts of its review. Named studios include Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, NetEnt, Play’n GO, Relax Gaming, Red Tiger, Spribe and Turbo Games, with live tables from Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live. CasinoRate noted there are no big progressive jackpots such as Mega Moolah.

Whale Originals

The in-house games include Crash, Dice, Mines, Keno, Roulette, Blackjack and quirkier titles such as What the Duck!? and Crock Dentist. They are provably fair, so you can verify results after each round. As noted above, Whale.io quotes its best RTPs on Originals only when you bet in $WHALE, so check the rules panel in each game for the RTP that applies to your coin. Our provably fair guide explains the mechanics, and our RTP guide explains why a few percentage points matter over thousands of bets.

Sportsbook

The sportsbook covers pre-match and live markets on football, tennis, basketball, racing and esports, and Whale.io claims more than 5,000 events a day. We found no detailed 2026 analysis of its margins. Compare its prices with another book on the matches you bet on; our sports betting odds guide shows how to calculate a margin. A September 2026 Trustpilot review reported bets settled at incorrect odds, and earlier reviews mention voided bets, so read the sportsbook rules on errors before betting large amounts.

Payments, coins and withdrawals

Whale.io is crypto only. 2026 reviews list BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL, TON, BNB and Celo Dollar (cUSD) for deposits, with Notcoin, BONK, TRUMP, USD1 and $WHALE appearing in some lists. You can buy crypto with a card or Apple Pay through a third-party on-ramp, but there are no direct fiat withdrawals.

From Bitcoin.com, ClearCasinos and CasinoRate reviews, July to October 2026.
ItemWhat 2026 reviews report
Minimum deposit$1 in crypto
Minimum withdrawal$5 or equivalent (CasinoRate also quotes 1 USDT in one place)
Whale.io withdrawal feeNone; network fees apply
SpeedInstant to about 10 minutes reported; no time is committed in the terms
Before withdrawingDeposit must be wagered at least once
Large withdrawals50,000 USDT or more may be paid in instalments

Two clauses deserve attention. One lets Whale.io pay large withdrawals in instalments, and another lets it withhold withdrawals indefinitely on compliance grounds. Neither is unusual for offshore casinos, but together with the unconfirmed licence they are good reasons not to leave large balances on the site. Our instant withdrawal guide explains what speeds payouts up and how to choose a cheap network.

KYC and verification

You can register with an email address or a Web3 wallet, and some review sites describe Whale.io as no-KYC. That is only partly true. Its terms, as reported in October 2026, require a verified account to receive daily cashback, require level 2 verification for withdrawals, and let Whale.io ask for verification on any withdrawal, including small ones. Checks are handled by SumSub and can take from a few minutes to five days.

Several of the most recent Trustpilot complaints involve verification: a duplicate-account flag blocking a small withdrawal, and players saying they could not withdraw after months of deposits. Verify early with accurate details, before you have a large balance waiting. Our no-KYC crypto casinos guide explains why "no KYC" rarely means none at all.

Countries and availability

Whale.io’s restricted list, last updated on 14 November 2025 according to ClearCasinos, names 13 countries: Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Comoros, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea and Syria. CasinoRate’s July 2026 review showed a longer list of about 25, including Italy and Sweden. The lists differ, so check the terms yourself.

Canada

In Canada we list Whale.io only outside Ontario and Alberta. Ontario runs a regulated online market through iGaming Ontario, which publishes a directory of authorised sites, and Alberta’s new regulated market expects operators to leave the grey market. Elsewhere in Canada, offshore crypto casinos operate in a legal grey area and you have no provincial protection if something goes wrong. See our Canada page for the regulated options.

Brazil

Brazil’s Provisional Measure 1,394 of 25 September 2026 banned fixed-odds betting and online casino games, including those offered from abroad, with licensed sites taken offline from 6 October. An offshore casino is not a legal option there. See our Brazil page.

If your country is restricted, do not use a VPN or false details. That breaks the terms, and the casino can close the account and keep the balance at withdrawal. Our coverage pages list which brands serve each market.

Player feedback and reputation in 2026

Whale.io had a Trustpilot score of 3.8 out of 5 from about 900 reviews when we checked in October 2026, with around 20% one-star ratings and only 84 reviews in the previous 12 months. Positive reviews mention fast withdrawals, the rewards system and the slot selection. Recent negative reviews, many from September and October 2026, describe verification holds, accounts closed without a clear reason, sign-up problems, bets settled at the wrong odds, reduced cashback and unfulfilled token promises. Whale.io replies to most of them. Trustpilot does not verify reviews, so treat these as patterns rather than proof.

Bitcoin.com’s October 2026 review scored Whale.io 2.6 out of 5, largely because of the licence and terms; ClearCasinos gave 7.2 out of 10, with 5.0 for trust and licensing; CasinoRate gave 4.2 out of 5 in July. Earlier 2026 reviews also referred to unresolved complaints on Casino.guru, which we could not check directly. Our own 3.9 reflects the product and payout reports, but the licence question is the main thing that could pull it down.

Responsible gambling tools

Whale.io offers self-exclusion for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days from your account, and permanent exclusion through support. According to Bitcoin.com’s October 2026 review, it does not offer deposit or loss limits. That is a real gap: daily cashback, levels and token rewards are all designed to keep you playing, and there is no built-in brake on how much you deposit.

  • Set a monthly budget before you deposit, and only send that amount.
  • Withdraw winnings to your own wallet instead of leaving them on the site.
  • Do not chase a higher cashback level; the extra cashback never covers the extra expected loss.
  • Use self-exclusion, device-level blocking or your bank’s gambling block if you want to stop.

Gambling is paid entertainment, not a way to make money. Our responsible gambling guide lists practical tools and free support services.

How to sign up and test a withdrawal

  1. Check that your country and province are not restricted and that offshore play is not banned where you live.
  2. Register with a unique password and turn on two-factor authentication.
  3. Complete verification early, since cashback and withdrawals both depend on it.
  4. Make a small first deposit on a cheap network such as Solana or TRON, and remember the 200% bonus is locked, not playable.
  5. Wager the deposit at least once, then withdraw a small amount to your own wallet to test the process.
  6. Keep records of deposits and withdrawals for budgeting and any tax reporting.
