Spartans is a crypto casino and sportsbook owned by Nexus International, the group founded by Gurhan Kiziloz. It has grown fast on the back of heavy marketing: a reported $32 million-a-year deal with the streamer X7Dave, multimillion-dollar leaderboards, supercar giveaways and a rewards system it calls CashRake. In May 2026 the on-chain investigator ZachXBT alleged that money from crypto presales linked to Kiziloz had been used to pay for Spartans marketing, and Spartans has not answered those claims in detail. Most 2026 coverage of Spartans is sponsored or promotional, and independent information on its terms is thin. This review sets out what can be supported from independent 2026 sources, marks what comes only from the operator, and explains the risks before you deposit.

Key takeaways
  • May 2026 allegations: ZachXBT alleged that about $25 million from the BlockDAG and ZKP crypto presales was pooled and partly used for influencer payments and Spartans marketing, and told investors to avoid Spartans. These are allegations, not findings by any regulator or court, and we found no detailed response from Spartans.
  • Ownership and licence: a Nexus International brand under an Anjouan licence (reported as ALSI-202409038-F12), with a company registration in Belize. Anjouan offers players little practical protection.
  • Rewards, not a fixed welcome bonus: CashRake returns up to 33% of the house edge as rakeback plus up to 3% cashback on losses, with both capped at 33% of your total deposits, according to 2026 coverage. A 2026 review found no permanent welcome bonus.
  • Thin, mostly promotional evidence: growth figures such as $1 billion wagered during beta come from the company, and the planned 1 August 2026 global launch has not been confirmed by independent reporting.
  • Where it fits for us: in Canada we list Spartans only outside Ontario and Alberta, but we could not confirm its restricted-country list from a 2026 source. Check its terms before registering, and do not use a VPN.

Our verdict on Spartans

Spartans has some things players like. CashRake pays from the first deposit instead of making you climb a VIP ladder first. The casino has a large slots library and provably fair originals, and the sportsbook sits on the same wallet. Crypto withdrawals are described as taking minutes. For players in Latin America it also supports local payment methods that most crypto casinos lack.

Our concerns are about trust rather than features. Almost everything written about Spartans in 2026 is promotional, often near-identical copy across many sites, and the headline numbers (deposits, wagers, global rankings) come from the company and conflict with one another. In May 2026 a well-known on-chain investigator publicly alleged that money raised from retail crypto investors in projects linked to Kiziloz had flowed into Spartans marketing. The small number of Trustpilot reviews are almost all one-star and describe withdrawals pending for weeks and an unpaid leaderboard prize. None of that is proven, but it is far from the record we would expect for a brand of this profile.

Who it is for

Spartans may suit crypto players who want rakeback from the first bet and are comfortable with a young, heavily marketed offshore brand. If you try it, deposit only small amounts, withdraw often, and do not leave winnings on the site. Players who value a longer track record should look first at the alternatives in the comparison table below.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • CashRake rakeback and cashback from the first deposit, with no VIP threshold to reach first.
  • Casino, live casino, originals and a sportsbook on a single wallet.
  • Crypto withdrawals described as taking minutes by independent and promotional sources alike.
  • Local payment methods for some Latin American markets alongside crypto.
  • Provably fair originals such as Dice, Mines and Keno.

What to watch

  • May 2026 allegations linking Spartans marketing to crypto presale funds, without a detailed response.
  • Anjouan licence with limited oversight and no dependable complaints route.
  • Trustpilot reviews almost all one-star in 2026, citing pending withdrawals and unpaid prizes.
  • Most coverage is sponsored or promotional, and key figures cannot be checked independently.
  • Restricted-country list and full bonus terms not confirmed by any 2026 source we could find.
  • Heavy streamer and giveaway marketing designed to encourage high-volume play.

The 2026 allegations against Spartans’ owner

On 19 and 20 May 2026, crypto news outlets reported a series of posts by ZachXBT, an independent on-chain investigator known for tracing crypto scams. He alleged that at least $25 million from the presales of BlockDAG and ZKP, two crypto projects he linked to Gurhan Kiziloz, had been pooled, moved across blockchains and partly used to pay influencers, streamers and marketing for Spartans. In a wider claim he said projects connected to Kiziloz had raised at least $350 million from retail investors while failing to deliver core promises, and that funds were routed through over-the-counter desks. He told investors to avoid BlockDAG, ZKP and Spartans.

Coinfomania’s report adds that several creators and collaborators had accused Spartans of delayed payments and changing contract terms. ZachXBT also said the Spartans account blocked him on X after he raised the questions, which is his own account of events.

What this does and does not mean

These are allegations from a private investigator, relayed by crypto media. We found no regulator action, court finding or criminal charge connected to them, and the figures differ between reports. BlockDAG has previously disputed earlier criticism, saying an investigation did not reflect the current state of the project. When the May 2026 reports were published, neither BlockDAG nor Spartans had issued a full public response, and we found none by October 2026. For a casino player, the practical point is that Spartans is young, its owner faces serious public questions, and an Anjouan licence gives you very little to fall back on if anything goes wrong.

We found no reports in 2026 of a hack, outage, closure or rebrand at Spartans.

Ownership, licence and safety

Spartans belongs to Nexus International, a group founded by Gurhan Kiziloz, who also founded the fintech brand Lanistar. Promotional business coverage in 2026 describes Nexus as owning three brands: Spartans, the Brazilian sportsbook Megaposta and Lanistar. It also credits the group with about $1.2 billion of revenue in 2025 and says Kiziloz reinvested about $200 million in Spartans. Those figures come from the company and have not been audited publicly. win.gg names the operating company as Nexus International Entertainment.

Search summaries of Spartans’ own footer show an Anjouan licence, number ALSI-202409038-F12, and a company registered in Belize under number 000043488. We could not check either against an official register: Anjouan’s online verification has a history of being hard to use, and the licensing material published in the trade press comes mainly from consultants selling licence applications. Our crypto casino licence guide explains why an Anjouan licence protects players far less than a UK or Malta one.

Brazil and the wider group

Nexus moved its headquarters to São Paulo in 2025 and built much of its revenue on Megaposta, which was licensed under Brazil’s 2024 to 2025 betting framework. Brazil then banned fixed-odds betting and online casino games under Provisional Measure 1,394 of 25 September 2026. Licensed sites were to be taken offline from 6 October and licences end on 25 October, while court challenges and a vote in Congress are pending. The ban applies to licensed and offshore operators alike, so it affects the group’s main market and rules out Spartans for Brazilian players. See our Brazil market page.

Account security

win.gg reports that Spartans offers two-factor authentication. Turn it on, use a unique password, and keep only what you plan to gamble on the site.

Who can play: countries and the global launch

Spartans ran what it called a beta from early 2026 and announced a worldwide launch for 1 August 2026, according to sponsored articles from April 2026. We found no independent report confirming that the launch took place or which countries it covered. Some sponsored articles describe Spartans as serving a global audience; that is marketing, not a terms document.

We could not find a 2026 source listing Spartans’ restricted countries. Treat the United States, the United Kingdom and other markets with their own licensing regimes as likely to be excluded, and check the terms on the site before registering. In Canada we list Spartans only outside Ontario and Alberta, both of which run regulated markets. Our Canada market page explains the provincial picture and the coverage map shows which brands we list where.

If your country or province is restricted, do not use a VPN or false details. Offshore casinos usually discover this at withdrawal, and the terms allow them to close the account and keep the balance.

CashRake and bonuses

CashRake is the centre of Spartans’ offer. As described in 2026 coverage, it has two parts. The first is rakeback of up to 33% of the house edge on your bets, paid whether you win or lose. The second is cashback of up to 3% on losses, paid straight to your balance without wagering. Both count towards one cap, set at 33% of your total deposits: deposit $100 and the most CashRake you can earn is $33; deposit another $200 and the cap rises to $99.

The wording around CashRake varies. Some promotional articles call it a guaranteed 33% return, which it is not: 33% is the share of the house edge and the cap on deposits, not a return on your stakes. The terms that decide what you actually receive, such as which games count, how often it is paid and whether the rate falls below 33% on some games, were not published in any independent 2026 source we found. A March 2026 Trustpilot review says rakeback was changed to apply to slots only. Read the current terms on your account.

Worked example: what CashRake returns

Say you deposit $500 and wager $10,000 on slots with a 4% house edge. Your expected loss is $400. Rakeback at the full 33% of the house edge would be $132. Add 3% cashback on, say, $400 of actual losses, which is $12, and the total is $144, under the $165 cap (33% of $500). You still expect to lose about $256. CashRake is one of the more generous rakeback rates around if paid as described, but it reduces losses rather than producing profit.

Welcome and deposit bonuses

win.gg’s review, last updated in September 2026, found no permanent welcome bonus, with CashRake in its place, and noted that offers vary by region. Earlier 2025 coverage described a 300% welcome bonus up to $200 with 35x wagering on casino and 10x on sports, plus a 25% daily reload. We could not confirm that any of those terms still apply. Our listing currently shows a 200% match up to $2,000 with free spins; we found no 2026 source that supports it, so treat it as unconfirmed until you see it on your own account. Our bonuses explained guide shows how to work out what a deposit match costs to clear.

Leaderboards and giveaways

Spartans markets large leaderboards and prize draws: a $2 million leaderboard tied to X7Dave in February 2026, a $7 million monthly leaderboard it said in May 2026 it had paid in full, a one-off Mansory Koenigsegg Jesko giveaway, and smaller daily, weekly and monthly draws. These come from Spartans and sponsored coverage. One 2026 Trustpilot reviewer says a leaderboard prize was not paid. Leaderboards reward the highest volume of betting, which is also the fastest way to lose money; do not raise your stakes to chase one.

Casino games and originals

Reports of the library size differ. A 2025 article put it at 5,963 games from more than 43 providers; win.gg in 2026 described well over 1,000 slots plus table and live-dealer games from more than 50 providers, including Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, NetEnt and Red Tiger. Either way, the slot selection is large enough for most players. As at any offshore casino, check the RTP in each game’s info screen, because studios supply some games at several settings. Our RTP guide explains why that matters.

Spartans also has in-house provably fair originals, including Dice, Mines, Keno and Crossy Road, according to win.gg. Provably fair means you can check each result against a server seed, client seed and nonce after the round; it does not lower the house edge. Our provably fair guide explains how to verify a round. One Trustpilot reviewer alleged bots at blackjack tables; we could not verify that and found no other source for it.

Sportsbook

Spartans describes itself as a casino and sportsbook. Coverage of the sportsbook dates mostly from 2025 and is promotional: football including the Premier League and Champions League, NBA, cricket, UFC, tennis and esports, with pre-match and live betting, combo bets and outrights. win.gg’s 2026 review does not cover the sportsbook, so we cannot describe its current depth or margins from an independent source.

One 2026 Trustpilot review says a money-line bet was changed to a “both teams to score” market after it was placed. That is a single unverified account, but it is the kind of dispute where an offshore licence leaves you with little recourse. Keep screenshots of bet slips and read the rules on voided and resettled bets. Our crypto sports betting guide shows how to compare prices and spot a wide margin.

Payments and withdrawals

Spartans is crypto-first but not crypto-only. win.gg lists BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, SOL, ADA and DAI, and earlier coverage also mentioned AVAX. In some regions it adds Visa and Mastercard, Skrill and Neteller, bank transfer and local methods such as SPEI and OXXO in Mexico and Khipu in Chile. Availability depends on where you are.

From win.gg’s Spartans review, September 2026. Spartans did not publish withdrawal limits in any source we found.
MethodWithdrawal time reportedNotes
CryptoA few minutesNetwork fees apply; choose a cheap network for small amounts
Skrill and NetellerUp to 48 hoursNot available in every region
Cards and bank transferVaries by regionUsually slower and costlier than crypto

We found no published minimum or maximum withdrawal. Experiences in 2026 differ sharply: a March 2026 Trustpilot reviewer praised withdrawals with no hold, while others in February and March 2026 reported withdrawals pending for weeks without a reply. Test with a small withdrawal first, and if one stalls, keep records of transaction IDs and support messages. Our deposits and withdrawals guide and instant withdrawal guide explain what normally causes delays.

KYC and verification

win.gg describes Spartans’ verification as loose and dependent on region: in some places no documents are needed, in others you may have to prove your identity or other personal details. That light approach is convenient but cuts both ways, because a casino that does not verify at sign-up can still ask for documents when you try to withdraw a large win. Register with your real details so a later check does not hold up a withdrawal. Our no-KYC crypto casinos guide explains the trade-offs.

Player feedback and reputation

Spartans’ Trustpilot page (Canadian site) showed a score of 2.2 out of 5 from nine reviews when we checked in October 2026, eight of them one-star and all eight dated 2026. Complaints cover withdrawals and deposits pending for weeks, automated or unresponsive support, a sports bet changed after it was placed, rakeback terms changed, an unpaid leaderboard prize and allegations of unfair games. The profile is unclaimed and has no replies from the company. Nine reviews is a small sample and Trustpilot does not verify them, so treat this as a warning sign rather than proof.

The positive picture comes almost entirely from sponsored or promotional articles, many repeating the same claims: $100 million deposited and $1 billion wagered during beta, 27,000 first-time depositors in two months, and rankings anywhere from 10th to 40th among crypto casinos worldwide. One April 2026 sponsored piece itself notes that the ranking was reported by the project and not independently verified. We give these figures no weight.

Responsible gambling

Spartans’ marketing leans on streamers, leaderboards and giveaways, all designed to drive betting volume. Offshore casinos are not required to offer the deposit, loss and time limits that regulated operators must, and we found no independent description of Spartans’ own tools. Set limits yourself before you play.

  • Decide a monthly budget and deposit only that amount.
  • Ignore leaderboards; climbing one means betting more than you planned.
  • Withdraw winnings to your own wallet straight away.
  • Ask support for self-exclusion if you want to stop, and add device-level blocking.

Gambling is paid entertainment, not income. Our responsible gambling guide lists practical tools and free support services.
